Air travel is not what it used to be! It is different and comes with a set of new rules for making travel safer for all. But you can rest assured that we are with you every step of the way.

Travel rules and requirements are changing more frequently than the pre-pandemic period. It’s true that we’re are having a tough time understanding the new way of flying, right from booking tickets to exiting the destination airport. But there is no need to panic. Before you plan your journey, carefully go through the entry/travel requirements set by the destination country and comply with them without fail.

Here, we have compiled answers to some of the frequently asked questions about booking travel during COVID-19, for your convenience.

Modifying PNR

Passengers can modify their existing PNR, booked for scheduled flights to travel in current repatriation flights. (Fare difference, if any, may be applicable.)

Cancelled PNR

If a passenger has cancelled his/her PNR due to the uncertain travel conditions, the passenger will not be able to retrieve or modify the PNR.

If the flights are not operational on the modified date

Passengers who have modified an existing booking, can rebook the flights to another date with zero date change fee, if the flights are not operational on the modified date. (Fare difference, if any, may apply.)

Booking Repatriation/ Air Bubble Flights

Air bubble flights can be booked from our website or authorized travel agents or city offices. Passport information and passenger contact details are mandatory while making any bookings.


Since Air India Express is a point-to-point carrier and does not have an Interline/ Codeshare agreement with any airlines (except Air India), the Airline is not in a position to accept responsibility for any connection flights of other carriers/airlines.

Therefore, passengers booked on our flights shall ensure that they are holding the Visa and other travel-related documents as required by the destination country.

Cancellation charges

All cancellation and refunds on repatriation/ air bubble flights will be based on the cancellation and refund policy.

Booking wheelchair

Passengers who wish to avail wheelchairs will have to book it though 24*7 contact centre or city offices. Where charges are not borne by Air India Express at other stations, the wheelchair facility will be provided at no extra charge to the passengers.
