In the Winter Schedule 2022, Air India Express has added seven new routes
Our network is evolving and as we grow, we are embracing newer skies. In the Winter Schedule 2022, Air India Express has added seven new routes, further enhancing the connectivity between India and the GCC countries.
A market leader in the LCC segment in the India – Gulf/Middle East sector, Air India Express operates about 560 flights a week, 350 of them between India and the UAE alone. The new routes have been selected after closely studying the travel demand in various sectors. The first route in this newest series to become operational was Kannur-Dubai services. The maiden flight took off on 30th October 2022. There will be four flights every week.
The maiden flight from Vijayawada to Sharjah took off on 31st October 22. We will operate two weekly flights on this route. The first week of November saw the launch of three new routes. The Kochi-Dammam service was introduced on 3rd November and will operate once every week.
Another new service was started between Kochi and Riyadh, the capital city of Saudi Arabia, on 4th November. This route will also have services once a week. Operations between Kannur and Jeddah started on 6th November 2022 with one flight per week.
Two more routes have been introduced in the Winter Schedule 2022, connecting Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala, with Bahrain and Dammam. Effective from 30th November, we will commence two weekly flights between Thiruvananthapuram and Bahrain. Three weekly flights will start operations between Thiruvananthapuram and Dammam on 1st December.
With more services and routes being added to our operations, we aim to cater to the increasing travel needs of our guests. Now it has become easier for guests to choose a time and date for travel at their convenience.
