We’ve restarted operations on the Surat-Sharjah route on 28th March 2021 and bookings are open till October 2021

Air India Express shares a special bond with the magnificent city of Surat. The Diamond City, as it is known world over, made it to the international aviation map with the first Air India Express flight arriving here on 16th February 2019 from Sharjah carrying 75 passengers.

With the induction of the new sector, Surat-Sharjah became the 47th non-stop direct connection of Air India Express between India and the Gulf region.

Restarting services

IX restarted its operations on the Surat-Sharjah route on 28th March 2021. Bookings are open for direct flights till October 2021 with fares (all inclusive) starting from as low as ₹7779. With Air India Express, you can fly between Surat and Sharjah twice a week.  

Flights from Surat to Sharjah will operate on all Mondays and Thursdays, while you can fly from Sharjah to Surat on Wednesdays and Sundays.

Currently, the Airline operates to 14 international destinations including the Middle East, Malaysia and Singapore.

Surat is also known to be the world’s largest diamond manufacturing centre. The city is also famous for its silk fabric and cotton mills and therefore, is also called the Textile City.
