Air India Express, India’s first international budget carrier, has been named an ‘Iconic Brand of India 2022’ by the Economic Times for the second year in a row. It is in recognition of the Airline’s relentless efforts and innovations to overcome challenges, establish a distinctive visual identity, and win over the trust of its guests.
The 5th edition of the ‘Iconic Brands of India 2022’ is all about remarkable brands which have redefined the benchmark in their respective fields and fulfilled the dreams of millions of Indians.
The Air India Express team received the citation at a function held in Mumbai. . “It’s an honour to be recognised as an iconic brand by the Economic Times, India’s leading business daily. A good brand is about trust and reliability, and represents our ethos – and is built by the employees of the company. I would like to congratulate each and everyone who made us iconic – particularly our employees” Mr. Aloke Singh, CEO, Air India Express, said.
A point-to-point budget carrier, Air India Express connects 19 Indian cities to 14 international destinations. The market leader in the LCC segment in the India-Gulf sector, the airline operates about 560 flights per week, with about 350 flights between India & UAE alone. Since the launch of operations in 2005, Air India Express has strived to make flying possible for the common man.
Early this year, Air India Express was awarded the ‘Covid-19 Business Continuity Award’ at Wings India 2022, Asia’s largest event on Civil Aviation. The Airline was adjudged one of the ‘Best Organizations for Women’ by the Economic Times for a second consecutive year in 2022.
