Mr. Wilson at Mumbai OCC

The much-cherished visit of Mr Campbell Wilson, Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director, Air India was the major highlight of August 2022. In his first-ever visit to the Airline’s head office in Kochi and OCC in Mumbai, after assuming the role in May 2022, Mr Wilson had many insights and inspiring thoughts to share with the employees.

He visited the Kochi head office on 5th August 2022 and had a very resourceful interaction with the staff. Later on 12th August, he visited the Operations Control Centre (OCC) in Mumbai, which is our first independent OCC. His visit included a quick walk around at the OCC and Crew Scheduling.

Mr Wilson, 50, has 26 years of aviation industry expertise across both full-service and low-cost airlines. He is an industry veteran having worked in key global markets cutting across multiple functions.

Mr Wilson started off as a Management Trainee with SIA in New Zealand in 1996. He then worked for SIA in Canada, Hong Kong, and Japan before returning to Singapore in 2011 as the founding CEO of Scoot, which he led until 2016. Mr. Wilson then served as the Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing of SIA, where he oversaw Pricing, Distribution, eCommerce, Merchandising, Brand & Marketing, Global Sales, and the airline’s overseas offices, before returning for a second stint as the CEO of Scoot in April 2020.
