Air India Express Expands Fleet and Services

Over the past 12 years Air India Express has strived to give you, our passengers the highest quality of services at the lowest prices and you have returned the favour by choosing us for your journey. Our aim is to cater to the growing middle class segment, mainly comprising the working class, by increasing the fleet size and exploring new destinations. Over the years it is this choice that our customers make that has helped us grow, from a customer base that stood at 2.6 million in 2014-15, to one that has grown to 2.8 million in 2015-16.
The AIE family is proud to announce that we have increased our fleet strength by adding three Boeing 737-800 NG aircraft, and soon plan to expand further by including three more aircraft by end of this year, which will increase our fleet size from the current 20 aircrafts to 23.
Three leased aircrafts have joined the AIE fleet and begun operation and in addition to the existing destinations, the airline has commenced a new service to Ras Al Khaimah from Kozhikode, with a frequency of four flights per week.
The other new services include daily flights to and fro Mumbai-Dubai and Mumbai -Sharjah as well as Delhi-Dubai and Delhi-Abu Dhabi. Meanwhile, frequency of the Dubai-Kozhikode service has been doubled from one to two daily flights. We have also made alteration in a prior service to create a Kochi-Kozhikode-Bahrain daily service to and fro and a non-stop daily flight between Kozhikode and Doha.
The frequency of flights between Thiruvananthapuram and Dubai has been raised to six weekly flights from five, while the service between Kozhikode and Kuwait was augmented from three flights per week to five flights. Also, a non-stop service from Kochi to Dammam, with frequency of three flights per week, has been introduced.
